In 1989, Mr Ali Engin launched the first Origin Kebab (OK) shop in Hyperdome Shopping Center, Loganholme Queensland. Queenslanders had not yet seen nor heard of a kebab. After a fierce sampling exercise, Queenslanders embraced Origins Kebabs. It was a roaring success. To this day Origin at Hyperdome, is recognised as one of the most successful kebab retail shops in the country. Within 3 years Origin Kebab was operating in 4 locations between the Gold Coast and Brisbane. |
